This appendix is an explanation of the styles used for the
as-yet-unnamed quarterly CT technical journal
published on the CT Internet
web site. Every page on the Collective Technologies Internet web
site except the front page uses frames. This includes the technical
journal.
Top--The site-wide navigation links with the collective
"comets" logo on the far right. The frame is 775 pixels wide by 71
pixels high. The text is in white; the background is blue (though
not the PMS 288 CVC blue). This is the same as the rest of the
Internet web site.
Main--The main data or content frame. The frame is 775
pixels wide and as high as necessary to hold all the content. The
text is black (with yellow all-caps Heading 1 text). The background
is white.
The left 10% of the main frame is a menu or table of contents.
The background is blue, the text is white, and the menu uses
the JavaScript onMouseOver() function to change the text to
yellow.
The right 90% of the main frame is the content. Unlike the
Internet web site, we are not using the yellow-on-white text for
first-level headers. Main headers are boldface and larger by one
level; subheaders are boldface and in normal type. The text is in
a sans serif font.
The two portions are separated by a 2-pixel thin yellow line.
This is the same as the rest of the Internet web site.
Footer--The site-wide footer links. The frame is 775 pixels
wide by 41 pixels high. The text is in gray on a yellow background.
This is the same as the rest of the Internet web site.
The color palette is the same as for the Internet web site. Refer to
the "Color palette" section for details.
The font size is larger for the journal as for the Internet web site.
Use 12-point for the headers and 11-point for the text.
