both, include:
- Administering LSA's Vignette Content Management System
(VCMS 7.6)—A day-long (or four 1.5-hour session)
course on the specifics of how LSA IT staff should administer
the web content management system, presented in July 2013 and
again in January 2014. (no part number)
- Introduction to html—A
three-part introduction to html programming that can be taught
as a full day tutorial or three evening classes. The presentations
can be downloaded as well:
- Managing a CONVEX System in 1992—A quick course
on the new features in ConvexOS V10.0, presented to the UK
CONVEX Users Group in January 1992. (no part

- Meta Series Overview—An overview for Field Support
personnel as well as select customers on the CONVEX Meta Series
rack-mounted cluster of computers. (no part

- Operator's Training Course—A special amalgam
of the Beginning ConvexOS, Advanced ConvexOS, and Systems
Administration courses from the CONVEX Education Center,
specifically geared to the tape operators at a specific customer
site. Written from the ground up in 2 days, including screen
shots and site-specific variables and procedures. (no part number)
- Problem Report Tracking System (PRTS) Overview—A
course on the PRTS database (what later became COBRA) for new
support personnel. This course included details on why certain
procedures were followed and why certain fields were important.

- PRTSMail Overview—A quick workshop on PRTSMail,
geared to the end-user or customer, presented at the 1993 CONVEX
Worldwide Users Group. (no part number)
- Quintus Overview—A course for the NCC technicians on
how to use Quintus, the database package used to track
trouble-tickets. Included as part of this course was an
explanation of why certain fields had to be filled out correctly,
as the data in the database was used to automate the fortnightly
reports. (no part number)
- Tips and Techniques for the CONVEX System
Administrator—A quick course on the new features in ConvexOS
V10.0, presented to the CONVEX Worldwide Users Group in May
1992. (no part number)
- Unix Administration for Windows NT People—A 2-hour
Technical Education Meeting (TEM) for my client to help the
Windows NT system administrators get a feeling for Unix. (no part number)
- Writing a Publishable
USENIX/SAGE Technical Paper—An hour-long presentation
to chigrp, the Chicago SAGE-local group,
in April 1999. The PowerPoint presentation
is available for download as well.
