Menu: Aubergine
At the 1999 motss.con in
Memphis, TN, Saturday evening a group of ten of us went to Aubergine
for dinner.  The meal was fantastic, and included:
  - Appetizer — Roasted lamb on crouton with a
    rosemary-cream sauce
  
 - Salad — Lobster and cenellini bean salad with
    lime-mango dressing
  
 - Granita — Flavored ice, with port and cassis
  
 - Wine — Sandford Pinot Noir
  
 - Entrée — 24-hour braised veal shoulder
    with baby carrots, roasted potatoes, and a demi-glace reduction
  
 - Dessert — A chocolate pyramid-shaped cake, filled
    with warm chocolate fudge, served with chocolate sorbet on a
    chocolate sauce with powdered sugar and mint to finish the
    presentation
  
 - Digestif — 20-year-old Sandemans ruby port
