Zoom replacement for motss.con.xxxiv
The following is my pseudo-motss.con report, or my experiences
of the soc.motss.con (held September
4 via Zoom). If you don't like such things, feel free to not read
it. It won't bother me. Much.
Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic we went virtual again
this year. We had 21 people over the course of the four hours,
including one first-timer. I had fun catching up, and it seemed
like others did too. Discussion topics (as I wrote them down, but
not necessarily in chronological order) included:

    - Lasik and other surgeries

    - Birthdays

    - Health issues and obits (Jess, Chris H., et al.)

    - Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Ida, Larry, flooding, weather,
      etc.

    - U-M Arriving Home sculpture

    - Musicals and Dear Evan Hansen

    - Anniversaries, past cons, etc.

    - Commutes

    - Movies

    - Housing prices

    - Masking and travel

    - Pets

    - Alexa, Siri, automation

    - Accents

    - Back to work

    - Doing this more often (e.g., the NYE zoom calls)

    - Cars, insurance, kids, carbeques, etc.

    - Retirement, medical

    - Dining out and gift certificates

    - Max is engaged!
